What is Jion?
	Together the two characters make the word “Ji-On” which means “Temple-Sound” and refers to the sounding of the temple bell which was sounded on the hour to let locals know the time. Jion is also the name of a karate kata (i.e. special exercise), although a different character is used for “Ji” in this case. Why is our company named Jion? Well for a number of reasons: Our directors are regular visitors to Japan and are very fond of the Zen Buddhist temples there. The Jion karate kata is an exercise that emphasizes strength, stability and mastery of basic technique. Our company is based on the expertise of our personnel who are required to produce solid, quality work for our clients, while at all times not forgetting the fundamentals of the project being completed.
